Acommodation: Agriturismo Nonna Rosa

A few days before Easter we decided to spontaneously travel to Lago di Como. I was in charge of searching for accommodation and tried to find something more different than a hotel. I discovered there are many Aggriturismi in the are and that they are quite popular.

I made a list with some of them that were more convenient for us as a location and price and tried to call to make a reservation. Many of them didn’t have place for 4 people but in the end we were lucky to find the Nonna Rosa.

Arrived there we discovered it was a relatively new house made with european funds. The owners are an Italian family from the Dosso del Liro village. They are young, very nice and tried to make our stay there as good as possible.

Each morning they prepared the breakfast and they decorated the tables with camelias. They also put a camelia on the bed in each room. Especially the guy was very helpful. He recommended us places to eat, places to visit, where to go hiking. He grew up in the mountain village and he knows all the best places to hike.

We were very happy with the rooms. They are nicely decorated and very clean. It’s only 10 minutes by car from Gravedona. It has a great view to the lake. We would definitely return once more to make more hikings in the mountains. And the people make it even better …
