Travelling through Norway is definitely an amazing experience. Everywhere we go we try to find local restaurants with good quality food. Eidjfjord is a dream place. Located in the beautiful fjords it’s the ideal place to go kayaking.
And so we did in the morning for a few hours. After the great kayak ride we looked for a good place to eat. We went exploring on foot and found some cafes but they only had sandwiches and some cookies. And we wanted a proper meal … So we checked the hotels and found this one.
It seemed quite a luxurious hotel. The rooms are very bright and pleasant. The colours as well as the beautiful paintings bring everything alive.
They have a big terrace as well from where you can get a great view of the fjord. In summer that’s probably the best place for enjoying a great lunch or dinner.
The service was very good too. The waitress was very nice and open. We didn’t have to wait long for the food; probably also because they weren’t many customers at that time. Norwegians eat at interesting hours …
Anyway the food not only looked great, but tasted even better. I loved the fish with the salad on top. The stew was also very tasty. But the best was the deconstructed apple pie at the end. A delicious meal indeed … quite expensive but worth the money.
