Café’s name: Au Croissant de Lune
Place: Martigny, Switzerland
During the weekend we have been skiing in Verbier and stayed for the night at a hotel near Martigny. We decided to skip the breakfast at the hotel (quite pricy) and find a nice bakery (boulangerie) nearby. And we found “Au croissant de lune”.
They have great patisserie. We had coffee, tea, croissants and some brioches for a good price. And they were so tasty. They even have open on Sundays so we returned the next day as well. We also bought some baguette parisienne for home and it was very good.
The personnel is very nice and serviable. They also have a few tables for those who want to serve their coffee and read the newspaper at the café. There are around 3-4 women working in the bakery. It seemed more like a family business.
The location is also nice: on some narrow streets between Martigny-Crois and Martigny-Bourg. And it seems to be loved by the locals. On Sunday morning at 8 o’clock many people were coming in to buy fresh bread.
