Restaurant: La Vache
Location: Verbier
When skiing in Verbier you are probably going to pass by a restaurant high on the mountain: La Vache. You can get there if you take the lift James Blunt to the ‘Les Attelas’ that gets you to 2700 m.
The restaurant is at 2730 m and is quite refined. The big logo in front catches your eye for sure. They also have a terrace and probably in the summer time is quite nice. Inside the restaurant there are many paintings and objects that make reference to cows … of course because of the name …
But before going there make sure you make a reservation first. This restaurant is quite a hype and very demanded. When we went there they told us we have to wait two hours … but as we were only two we had luck. They had a free table for two.
We ordered 
a beef burger and a chicken burger. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as good as we expected. The beef burger was quite dry and the chicken one was only a grilled chicken breast inside the buns. But the fries were quite good.
Then we ordered an apple pie and shared it. It was great! The chocolate sauce on the side was very tasty and went very well with the apple. That made me very happy and put the smile back on my face! I’ve got my energy back and I jumped on my skis …
The prices are a bit higher than normal. We payed around 40 CHF per person. Usually in the ski areas you can eat for lower prices. But you have to try it at least once …
