Restaurant: Dean Street Townhouse
Place: 69 – 71 Dean Street, London, United Kingdom
Travelling to London is always also about food. There are so many high-end restaurants that one definitely needs to try. So we ate at some new places this time. And because we stayed in Soho we mostly had breakfast in the area. The first morning we had our breakfast at Dean Street Townhouse. Very nice atmosphere, the waiters are very friendly and polite. Service is great. Also food comes quite fast.
I liked the big armchairs and the privacy we got there. It was also not very crowded and had always kind of a special vibe to it. And most important the food was really tasty.
The first time I was attracted by a new dish, Kedgeree, curry with smoked fish and poached egg. It was not only a good looking dish but also an amazing tasting dish. I would like to eat that once every week. The smokiness of the fish matched perfectly the creaminess of the rice and poached egg.
The black tea is also very good, as well as the juices. I especially liked the green smoothie.
And because we enjoyed it so much we also returned for the last breakfast. We were the first customers and had our private corner near the fireplace for the whole breakfast. This time I went for the potato and duck egg. Very tasty again. My friends also liked a lot the croissant and the smoothies.
I’ll definitely come back when I’ll visit London again. Next time I may even try to eat there for lunch or dinner.
It’s worth a visit …
